It may be a written conclusion in paragraph form, or more typically, a hierarchical outlined summary in complete sentences.
Here are two examples of a Reading Outline from previous design classes. I am assuming that the outlines from the Graphic Design: A New History chapters will be more robust with content, and quite possibly two pages.
